Rude.

Selfishness is acting in your own self interest despite the outcome. It’s a nasty word and it almost always comes with even nastier consequences. It’s instinctual at times, engrained in our subconscious to help us get by, survive, win. You don’t even realize it’s happening until one day, you’re faced with the hot mess you’ve made; you can no longer pretend that everything is the same.

Being selfish and taking care of your own needs is necessary sometimes. But, putting aside others feelings, your relationships, life as it should be and peace just to get what you want, what you feel you deserve, is, well, rude. And despite the instant gratification you may get by not caring now, you’re going to be left feeling pretty empty.
