Magic.

Dear Walt,

Family traditions have always been a huge part of my life growing up. My cousins and I are all abnormally close and did pretty much everything as a group growing up. We’d take a yearly vacation to Lake Tahoe every winter and typically would find ourselves enjoying Disneyland and/or Las Vegas in the summer for our national dance competitions. I loved it.

For the past few years or so, our yearly vacations have disappeared. No snow, no Magic Kingdom, no sparkling lights. The issue for me wasn’t necessarily missing out on the attractions, but sharing the entire experience with the whole family.

This weekend we fixed that. My niece turning two was a perfect excuse to get the 21 of us to travel to Los Angeles and do the Disney thing. She LOVED all of the rides, especially Dumbo.

Thank you for giving me another chance to make memories with my entire family. Accommodating the 21 of us and making us all feel the magic is a tremendously difficult task, but you managed to. Thank you for keeping the grounds clean to perfection so that we can sit on the curb, watch the spectacular parades and fireworks, and enjoy an ice cream cone all at the same time.

There is no better place to share HAPPY memories with my family.

P.S. Thank you for the cinnamon-sugar goodness of the churros in your park.

Oh, Walt (in a Makenzie voice). I'm glad your home, dear roommate. Life just isn't as fun when you're not around!
